Why are we doing this? Creating road kill recipes provides good practice in presenting instructions orally and negotiating with a partner in English. Furthermore, writing recipes requires you to use numerous grammatical forms such as phrasal verbs and sequence connectors while learning lots of interesting new vocabulary. Finally, this activity will introduce you to an unusual piece of U.S. culture which you won’t find in any textbook.
